Victoria Fund
For over 70 years the Victoria Foundation has effectively linked donor resources with charitable activities undertaken in the regions we serve. The Foundation is excited to be continuing this work with the newly named Victoria Fund (formerly the Community Fund).
Our goal with the Victoria Fund is to provide an effective, flexible and imaginative granting program that is also responsive to emerging community issues. Findings in our annual community report card, Victoria’s Vital Signs, highlight how our community is changing. This report has also helped us reflect on the work of the Foundation and how we might more effectively address issues significant to the vitality of our community.
Grants from the Victoria Fund will be made through Expressions of Interest (EOI) received from community organizations and proactive activities of the Foundation. This combination will enhance our capacity to respond to emerging opportunities and to provide support across a broad range of donor interests.
As the Foundation moves forward with changes in several areas of grant making, staff will continue to work to better align our available resources to the issues most important to the community and its valued donors.
“The reputation, knowledge and support of the Victoria Foundation team is exceptional. For two years, a grant from the Kay/Noxon Fund provided seed money towards improving and expanding the range of activities available to our residents. This is a vital program in the lives of those who cannot easily “get out and do” for themselves; we are eternally grateful,” says Mandy Parker, Executive Director, Mount St. Mary Foundation.
“It’s exciting that the granting process at the Victoria Foundation is being streamlined and will be more interactive,” says Mandy Parker, Executive Director, Mount St. Mary Foundation. “I look forward to learning how charitable organizations will benefit from the changes.”
The breadth of the Victoria Foundation’s granting programs assists our partner organizations in the valuable work they do and contributes significant resources to strengthening the communities in which we live while seeking new partnerships to affect positive change. Together we are committed to maintaining our tradition of connecting people who care with causes that matter®.
